How we can help

We offer free and confidential emotional and practical help to anyone who has been affected by crime in Hampshire and Isle of Wight. Our dedicated team of staff and volunteers can support you no matter what crime you have suffered.

Victim Support is an independent charity funded in Hampshire by the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Police and Crime Commissioner. You can contact us for support regardless of whether you’ve reported the crime to the police or not, no matter how recently of how long ago the crime took place. We’ll help you for as long as it takes you to cope and recover from the impact of crime.

Last year we offered immediate support to more than 22,000 people affected by crime across Hampshire and Isle of Wight, and gave in-depth support to 1,000 people. If you call us we’ll make sure you get the information and support you need. This might be arranging a meeting for you to talk to us and receive emotional support in confidence, helping you to fill out a compensation form or get advice on how to make your home more secure, or referring you to other specialist organisations that can also help.

Our national Homicide Service covers England and Wales and can offer support to anyone who has been bereaved through murder or manslaughter. We can provide you with more information if you would like to know more about this particular service.

You can follow the Hampshire and Isle of Wight team on Twitter or like us on Facebook to get our latest updates.
